Stitched onto the peak is an insignia in the form of a tan coloured cotton backer bearing a machine embroidered silver grey Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika, measuring 68 mm (w) x 35 mm (h). Underneath the eagle, the cap bears a machine embroidered tri colour
