Constructed of magnetic iron, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon with horizontal pinback, the obverse bearing an Olympic column, topped by rings and overlaid by a German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, in turn flanked by a date of 1939, the reverse bearing an inscription of FR VERDIENSTVOLLE MITARBEIT BEI DEN OLYMPISCHEN SPIELEN 1936 (FOR MERITORIOUS ASSISTANCE TO THE
