A round bronze medal; the obverse depciting the outline of a War Merit Cross First Class; the reverse inscribed Fr Kriegsverdienst (German For War Merit), and dated 1939; on a loop for suspension accompanied by its full length period original ribbon; measuring 32. 17 mm in diameter; weighing 13. 5 grams. Accompanied by its original packet of issue; the obverse embossed with Kriegsverdienstmedaille 1939 in black Gothic
