Farfugium japonicum var giganteum Marco Indonesia and cigarette butts(aka: Ligularia tussilaginea 'Gigantea', Farfugium reniforme) We have recently discovered that "giganteum" is actually a naturally occurring endemic variety (Okuno 2010) of Farfugium japonicum, native to Japan's southern Ryukyu Islands, so we've altered the name a bit and added a proper cultivar to honor garden designer Marco Stufano who first brought it to the US. Farfugium japonicum var. giganteum 'Marco' is a selected clone of the giant form with
