This is a very nice example of an original WWI German M16 Helmet, maker marked Si 66. The original feldgrau paint is still well retained inside the shell, with about 80% still present on the exterior, with the expected wear. It does not look to have been repainted at any time. The original M1917 metal liner band and leather liner pads are retained, though it has some damage. The helmet still has both of the dome
