Original U.S. Civil War Model 1860 Light Cavalry Saber with Scabbard and Hangers by Ames - Dated 1864 Spanish Militaria FREY MUNCHEN who worked fromOriginal Item: Only One Available. This is a very nice example of the principal cavalry saber used in the U. S. Civil War of 1860 1865. It has all brass mounts with wood with leather wrapped sword grip and fully intact bound brass wire wrap. The curved blade is marked on one side AMES MFG. CO. CHICOPEE One the other side it is marked U. S. G. K. C. 1864 G. K. C. was a Union Government Inspector AMES sword factory during the period of the Civil War.
