This is a training rifle and it is impossible to convert it into a live round firing weapon. It is not made using any original parts and is completely inert, made mostly from plastic and some molded resin parts. Trainers like these were made in house at one of the U. S. Military training aid centers, most likely at Fort Bragg, and was used in classrooms for giving a "tour" of the weapon. Not really intended to stand
