These HUGE revolvers were very much favored in the Balkan State of MONTENEGRO in the late 19th century. They were almost considered as men's jewelry. Our example interestingly do not have a trigger guard, either it was made that way or has had it removed so it conforms to the "Turkish" style. The bore is large at least 11mm and the revolver shows some engraving as decoration. It also has a series of marks on the left
