Charles Merrison was born in Walthamstow and enlisted in the A. I. F. at Holdsworthy, New South Wales, on 3 9 1915. He is recorded as wounded in action on the Western front on 19th September 1916. He served with the 30th & 45th battalions, A. I. F and included is his certificate of issue for a silver war badge. The medals are VF on tatty original ribbons.
