An interesting trench art coin purse, constructed of two pieces of hand hammer magnetic steel, the lid bearing a gilded disc in the form of an oval oak leaf wreath surrounding a swastika, opening with a functional hinge to reveal a hollow interior retaining 39 Third Reich period coins in 1, 2, 5, and 10 Reichspfennig denominations, unmarked, measuring 7 cm (l) x 6. 5 cm (w), in extremely fine condition.
