This is a great example of the knife bayonet issued with the Swiss Straight Pull Bolt action 7. 5mm Schmidt Rubin M1889 96 rifle, as well as the M1911 rifle and carbine. It is very similar in form to the U. S. bayonet for the Krag Jrgensen Rifle. This example is in great condition, fully "in the white", though the blade does look to have been arsenal resurfaced, which has made the maker mark on the ricasso somewhat
