but most of its Pacific Fleet along with the Baltic Fleet which was sent to the Far East and was destroyed in the humiliating Russo-Japanese War of 1904

The stock is still mostly proud over the lock plate

The 'drift pin' on the 1897 tool was reportedly used in removing the butt plate cap, trigger, and lower barrel band (stock) pin. These are all marked U. S. and may require some oil to get working properly. Difficult items to find. Please note these will only work on the U. S. produced Krag
