Schwarzburg-Sondershausen, Principality. A War Merit Medal 1914 Auction An enameled light red Crutched(Medaille Verdienst im Kriege 1914) Instituted 21 August 1914. A circular medal constructed of silvered bronze, the obverse bears two decorated intertwined mirrored Gs with a crown at the top, below bears the inscription 1914, the reverse centre bears the inscription VERDIENST IM KRIEGE (MERIT IN WAR), encompassed by a laurel leaf wreath tied with a ribbon at the bottom, measuring 40. 05 mm (w) x 45. 02 mm (h), with loop for suspension on a yellow and
