He served in the 613th Light Equipment Company which was assigned to the 386th Engineer Company and had the following campaign credits; Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes Alsace, Central Europe. After the fall of Germany while on occupation duty he sent home to his wife German Trophies of War as souvenirs.
