This is a genuine Pattern 1861 pattern Federal issue leather cartridge box for . 58 caliber Mini ball cartridges. It is missing the front plate, and does not have the internal tins. However, does have a very rare original Leather shoulder sling, complete with its brass Eagle Plate, which are very hard to find, and collectible in their own right. The overall leather condition is good but worn, with the finish flaking
