A Waffen-SS Tropical Cap Totenkopf Insignia consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac 1940 by Vickers-Armstrong at Newcastle(Waffen SS Tropen Schiffchentotenkopf fr Mannschaften). Constructed of black rayon, the obverse bearing a machine embroidered golden brown SS style Totenkopf with details highlighted in black threading, unmarked, measuring 32 mm (w) x 30 mm (h), in uniform removed and extremely fine condition.
