Here we have a charming Military Musket, probably dating tom 1810 to 1816, which has been shortened to a carbine length, 45" in overall length with a 29" barrel. This musket probably started life in a State Militia, as many of these were constructed using "trade" flintlocks from England. It was then later converted to percussion, the frizzen with pan removed, and the hammer replaced. It however still bears the
