Iris virginica Contraband Girl Yellow/Gold Flowering Plants similar to Sarracenia flavaIris virginica 'Contraband Girl' is a vigorously growing, massive selection (probably a tetraploid) of our native blue flag water iris. Iris 'Contraband Girl' is so big, we have to beat it back with whips and chains just to keep it confined to its pot. When planted in a moist garden site, it forms robust bold textured 3' tall x 7' wide (in moist sites) clumps in five years. In spring, the clumps are topped with larger than normal, blue purple flowers.
