but with two stars to represent the two parts of the UAR

The handle is in fantastic shape with some light wear and staining but nothing too serious

which has been dyed a darker olive/tan

This is a very good example of an early "Third Pattern" British Fairbairn Sykes commando dagger, with a brass alloy handle and original scabbard that was cut down during the period with very long leather thongs added for attachment to the leg.
