As WWII progressed and Germany suffered ever increasing material shortages, it became difficult even to obtain the standard BeVo embroidered breast eagles for use on Heer Army uniforms. They were forced to turn to these printed versions, which are very rare to find on the market today. They are printed onto a 5"W x 4 7 8" piece of feldgrau cotton twill using what looks to be blue and white ink paint, and
