Spain, Facist State. An Order Of Civil Merit, Grand Cross, C.1960 Hold hallmarked and maker marked "MO"(Orden del Merito Civil). Instituted King Alfonso XII in 1926. Franco Era (1938 1975). A Grand Cross Badge in silver gilt, consisting of a blue enamelled Anchor cross with clusters of rays in each quadrant, obverse centre featuring a blue border inscribed by AL MRITO CIVIL (To Civil Merit), with surmounted Imperial crown, suspending by a nicely enameled green laurel wreath also in silver gilt, the reverse plain with two rivets for the blue enamelled
