We previously offered this male clone of the lovely shaped Aucuba japonica var. borealis, but when it flowered, we discovered it had undergone a previously undisclosed sex change operation and was not a male. We immediately switched its name to Aucuba japonica 'Bored Female'. Aucuba 'Bored Female' makes an elegant 4' tall x 4' wide specimen, clothed in very shiny, black green leaves.
