Spain, Kingdom. An Order of Naval Merit, I Class Cross (Red Distinction) in Gold, c.1880 Newly Listed An interesting Kriegsmarine Officer’s brocade(Orden al Mrito Naval). Instituted August 3, 1866. In 18K Gold, a red cross with superimposed anchor and surmounting crown, measures 31. 5 mm (w) x 64. 3 mm (h), weighs 14. 43 grams, inclusive of ribbon with clasp at top with horizontal pin, wear and discolouration to ribbon, crown as been partially collapsed, enamels intact, minor wear, in extremely fine condition.
