This is a fascinating piece of WWII history. This bronze plaque was made by a foundry in Couvin, Belgium, who was known to have created brass plaques to commemorate the siege of Bastogne during the famous Battle of the Bulge. Unlike most we see, it is actually marked MADE IN COUVIN BELGIUM on the reverse around the edge. It is in very good condition with only minor scratches on it, and is round in shape, unlike the
