"The Gun that Won the West!" This fine rifle is in . 38 40 caliber (marked . 38 WCF on chamber) with a 24" round barrel and full length magazine tube. It also still has traces of the the 38 CAL. marking on the feed block, though there are a lot of tiny dents obscuring it. Features the classic front sight and "semi buckhorn" rear adjustable sight. The serial number is 256868B denoting the year of manufacture as 1888.
