Because of the elevation at which Musa itinerans 'Burmese Blue' occurs, it has shown good winter hardiness in our trials, sailing through 5 degrees F in the winter of 2013 2014 with no protection. Reportedly, when Musa 'Burmese Blue' matures, it produces nice purple bananas we'll see.
