At first glance this looks to be simply a large funnel, but a closer look shows that the bottom is in fact plugged, and there is a "lip" on the top for pouring. We believe this to be conical "Ale Warmer", used over a low fire to heat up very cold ale before being dispensed on a ship. It is made from sheet copper, which is brazed together in some places, and soldered together in others. The ear shaped handle is also
