Spain, Franco’s Period. An Order Of Cisneros, Commander's Star, C.1955 Auction Archive Interestingly enough(Orden de Cisneros). Instituted in 1944 by Generalissimo Francisco Franco. 1944 1977 Issue. Commander's star of the order in bronze gilt, consisting of an enameled red Maltese Cross with ball finials, with silvered crossed arrows in each quadrant, the obverse exhibiting a superposed enameled black eagle with finely enameled red and yellow details, reverse with pin assembly and dual stays, measuring 65. 33 mm (w) x 65. 53 mm (h), with toned bronze on
