Original German WWII DAK Afrikakorps Named Operation Battleaxe Cigarette Case dated June 1941 French Militaria was launched 24 September 1795Original Item: One of a Kind. This was just acquired from a collector at a large military collection. This is a very nice German WWII Cigarette case, made from brass, which was made to Commemorate their service in Africa. The case references "Operation Battleaxe", which was a failed British Army offensive during the Second World War to raise the Siege of Tobruk and re capture eastern Cyrenaica from German and Italian forces.
