Germany, Third Reich. A Customs Service Decoration United Republic of 1916 and received a staff(Zollgrenzschutz Ehrenzeichen). Instituted 17 February 1939. (1939 1944 issue). Constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Patte with ribbed and pebbled arms, the obverse bearing a central circular oak leaf wreath, overlaid by a German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse bearing a central circular oak leaf wreath, surrounding a raised inscription of FR TREUE DIENSTE
