Baden, Grand Duchy. A Field Service Medal, For Franco-Prussian War Service Hold one depicting Obergefreiter Josef Hollekamp(Felddienst Auszeichnung). Instituted 27 January 1839 by Grand Duke Leopold. (1839 1871 issue). Constructed of bronzed copper, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon with 1870 clasp indicating issue for Franco Prussian War service, the obverse bearing a raised Baden griffin clutching a sword and shield bearing the Grand Duchys coat of arms, topped by an inscription of FR BADENS EHRE (FOR BADENS HONOUR), the reverse bearing a wreathed
